John Corleto is a brand and design strategist now based in Tokyo, Japan. Previously he was a Senior Strategist at the global brand consultancy, FutureBrand. Leading and handling projects in Australia and across the Asia Pacific, he has helped create brand strategies, positionings, communications frameworks and new names and visual identities for large financial and health care institutions and tech-start-ups alike. Before this, he trained at design thinking and innovation consultancy, Second Road as well as was a guest-lecturer on the relationship between brand and entrepreneurship at the University of Sydney. Today, he is working with Ipsos Japan and ZeBrand to deliver strategic and brand insights. John holds a Commerce Degree from the University of Sydney.

Tom Piper manages Pure Marketing, a marketing strategy and support consulting firm, in South Burlington, VT.
Tom Piper has over 22 years of experience in brand management, consumer research, and strategic consulting. He has held senior positions at Bruegger’s Bagels, General Mills and Accenture, and has led strategy
and marketing initiatives for dozens of companies including Keurig Dr. Pepper, Pete & Gerry’s Eggs, and Lake Champlain Chocolates.
He holds an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth and a BA in Marketing from the University of Washington. He has taught marketing at St. Michael’s College.
Zach has worked as a brand strategist and consumer sociologist for the past 10 years. He has experience in many different categories working for brands like Target, Wal-Mart, Gatorade, Fiat Chrysler, Buffalo Wild Wings, Smash Burger, Associated Bank and Advanced Auto Parts. Before coming to brand strategy, Zach worked as a research sociologist. This background makes Zach highly skilled at uncovering the human problems that lie beneath business, marketing and brand problems. In his career, Zach has always been most passionate about working for small businesses and start-ups because he enjoys the excitement that comes from working closely with key stakeholders to define their brands and grow their businesses.
Arisa was born in VA, the US, raised in Fukuoka, Japan and educated in Norway. She has built her expertise in branding marketing at early stage and Japan market entry business development at international tech companies such as Noom, Shopify and StockX (US Unicorn company) as one of the founding members in Japan. Especially as the first hired at Shopify in Japan, she has devoted herself to cultivate the whole new ecosystem of eCommerce all over Japan and created a bridge between Japan and other countries to enable to do cross boarder businesses through eCommerce. Currently she has been engaging domestic and international companies as an independent advocate especially when they start up new business or enter new markets like Japan. Loves empowering and connecting people. She also works as a public speaker and has run entrepreneurship x career design workshops in high school in Tokyo and Fukuoka, fashion design school Vantan and a company such as Red Bull before.
As a business incubation expert, Alex has engaged in the creation of numerous start-ups and business divisions of large companies. Based in Tokyo, he is involved in different innovation initiatives of the Japanese government such as the J-Startup program under the Ministry of Economy or the startup strategy advisor of the Shibuya city. Now CEO of his company EDGEof INNOVATION, he works with government entities of over 20 countries to support foreign startups enter the Japanese market. Providing mentorship for many global startup programs including Canadian Technology Accelerator or German Startup Accelerator, he is first a specialist of business strategy but also experienced in corporate identity strategy for early stage startups. Fluent in Japanese, English and French, he can support entrepreneurs from any part of the world to clarify their first branding and go-to-market strategies.
